Yes I have taken part in the geese theatre workshops on a couple of occasions. They were really enjoyable and I ‘borrowed’ some of the techniques that they do and used them in my own work with patients (they have a book out too which I use a lot). I have found this helps in warm up exercises and engaging people in more active and dramatic treatment methods. One technique I find very effective is using a chair in the room to represent someone or something and getting the patient to it to say something they never did or that they would like to, e.g. to a parent or ex partner. This is very emotive but effective too.
