I think we all have traits that are more or less associated with autism (i.e. being sensitive to noise and light, social communication difficulties, strong interests), but not all of us are ‘a bit autistic’. Some people have a lot of traits, and fall into what is called the ‘broader autism phenotype’, but having traits doesnt make us autistic. Its sometimes hard however to decide where the line is drawn between having traits and actually being autistic. I think we still need to understand a lot more about autism, and the differences in autistic brains before we can really say for sure.
Hi! 🙂 That’s a really an intriguing question! Thank you! I’m not an expert in autism. However, as far as I know I believe that there are some personality traits that are associated with autism. These traits could be present in everyone to some extent, but not so often they are associated with the autism as a disorder.I hope I made myself clear!
All the best,
Maria
